I have always been fascinated by the simple things in life; a tree branch, the reflections I see on water, or the colors of a fall leaf. In this instance, the delicate way these wild geranium flower petals lay softly on the green, leafy foliage caught my eye. What a wonderful contrast in color and form. I must have shot fifty images of this scene trying to get the lighting just right. For the purists out there, I did not add the petals. They lay as I found them! For those of you who are not purists, see the images in the Fine Art section!
