Sandy Creek Bridge - Scene 1

Sandy Creek Bridge - Scene 1

This might be the perfect example of a lonely, winter day. Grey skies, ten degrees Fahrenheit, a recent snow and not a soul in sight. I have always loved covered bridges. Missouri has only four of them left and the Sandy Creek Bridge, just outside of Hillsboro is one of my favorites. It remains in its original location and has been well maintained. The bridge is located in a small park with a picnic area. There is some very interesting information on covered bridge construction and history as well. It is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.br/ br/ On a side note, I believe that the strongest images are ones that cause the viewer to have an emotional response or one that connects the viewer to something in their own past that speaks to them. In particular, I enjoy making images that influence the viewer to feel a sense of solitude or loneliness, something I can relate to myself. I consider this one of my successful quot;lonely shotsquot; and thus one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it!
